  2. The lowest personal tax state is Wyoming. Period.

The numbers on the Zerohedge site are skewed by oil severance taxes on energy products that leave the state..

We pay less than a thousand a year property tax here in Cheyenne, no income tax, and the state sales tax is 4%.

  3. Antarctica jobs....there is a thought. I think even I would go a little crazy down there. It is an interesting thought.

I have done projects in Wyoming, working with the ranchers along the rail lines. Tough people, but they have good hearts once you get to know them. I think they mimic the land. Captain Capitalism (Aaron Clarey) doesn't have much good to say about Wyoming, but I know there are good folks out there, working hard to make a living. There are opportunities out there as well, particularly with the oil and coal resources.

What is the political scene like out there, Kristophr? I think people will begin to migrate away from the jobless cesspools in the East and Midwest (Chicago, Detroit, etc.) once they get hungry enough.
